I am Dr. Nirmit Sakre,

Researcher in Computational Astrophysics at Kyoto University, Japan.

The multi-scale physical processes which occurred in the universe resulted in our existence on our lonely Mother Earth. From widely accepted Big Bang to planet formation, the cosmic history is quite diverse. The biggest heroes or villains in this story are undoubtedly massive stars. From massive star formation to disruption of surroundings by strong radiation, the life story of massive stars is quite interesting, unlike our lovely next-door neighbor, Sun.

To further improve our understanding of massive star formation, I am currently working on understanding physical processes that determine massive star formation in the cloud-cloud collision, a strong candidate for massive star formation.
